Since 1996, Visma's journey from Nordic roots to a multi-continental software provider has been driven by strategic acquisitions and partnerships. The partnership with Team Visma | Lease a Bike showcases this strategic vision, aligning with shared values of dedication and hard work – key attributes that have propelled Visma forward.
Joining forces
In 2018, Visma seized an opportunity to become a title sponsor for the team after former sponsor Lotto's exit. Then CEO Øystein Moan met with team CEO Richard Plugge, and they discovered Visma and the team shared many of the same values, including innovation and teamwork. They agreed that both parties would play to their strengths. Visma would contribute not only capital but also critical software and business expertise, allowing the team to concentrate on excelling in competition. This collaboration marked the start of the Team Jumbo-Visma sponsorship, evolving into today's Team Visma | Lease a Bike.
Here to win – from day 1
From the start of the partnership, the team harnessed Visma's technology. Critical operations such as accounting, financial processes, data analysis, HR, leads management, and contract signing are all handled by Visma's software. In an ever-demanding and fast-moving sport, access to reliable and efficient cloud software allows the team to maintain its high pace and focus on what’s important for them – cycling.
Becoming first title sponsor
In 2024, Visma proudly stepped up as the first title sponsor of one of the world's best cycling teams. Following an impressive 2023 with three Grand Tour victories, the team transitioned from Team Jumbo-Visma, riding on with renewed ambition as Team Visma | Lease a Bike.
