Privacy statement for privacy request form 


This privacy statement helps you understand what personal data we collect when you are using our privacy request form and why we collect it, and how we handle, protect, store, export, and delete your personal data. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as an email address, street address, phone number, etc.

Purpose of the processing and categories of the personal data collected

This privacy statement applies when Visma processes your personal data for handling your privacy request sent through the form. We need to process your name and email address in order to get in contact with you and handle the request in accordance with the GDPR. In addition, we need to process your email address to verify your identity to make sure we give you information related to you. Visma collects personal data directly from you when you fill out the form.

Legal basis for the processing of the personal data

Visma has a legal obligation to process your personal data in order to facilitate the exercise of your rights in accordance with the GDPR. For other privacy requests sent in through the form, we have a legitimate interest to administrate your requests.

Sharing of personal data and use of processors

Visma is a European corporation which consists of many different subsidiaries. When filling out this form, your personal data will be shared with the Visma company that you have selected in the form. If you do not select a specific Visma company when filling out the form, the request will be directed to Visma Software International AS, representing the Visma Group. We may have to share your personal data across companies in the Visma Group in order to handle your privacy request correctly.

Visma uses a processor, Celonis S.L., to build the form and direct the requests to the correct Visma company. Visma has entered into a data processing agreement with the processor in order to safeguard your privacy rights, and the personal data is only processed in the EU/EEA.

How long the personal data is stored

Visma will only store your personal data as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of processing, and no longer than 3 years. When the request has been directed to a specific Visma company, the company’s respective privacy statement will apply. Your rights

You can invoke the following rights in relation to our processing of your personal data:

  • Access. You have the right to request a copy of personal data we process about you. 
  • Rectification. You also have the right to request Visma to rectify inaccurate personal data concerning you. 
  • Deletion. You can request Visma to delete personal data relating to you. 
  • Restriction. You may ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
  • Portability.  You may ask us to provide you or others with your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
  • Object. On grounds relating to your particular situation, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests. You also have the right to object to our processing of your personal data for the performance of tasks carried out in the public interests or in the exercise of official authority or based on legitimate interests. 

Please note that there may be certain exceptions or limitations to the abovementioned rights which could apply depending on the specific circumstances of your situation. In such cases, we will provide you with detailed information about the applicable exception or limitation and help you exercise your rights in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
