Visma announces the acquisition of Finmatics, a fast-growing provider of pre-accounting software, serving more than 1,200 accounting offices, Corporates and SMB’s in Austria and Germany.
“We are very excited to welcome Finmatics to the Visma family, and broaden our core product offering to accountants in the DACH-region. We have been impressed by Finmatics high product quality and strong customer satisfaction. Backed by the joint capabilities of Visma, we believe that we can make an even greater impact in the market together”, says Merete Hverven, CEO of Visma.
Finmatics AI-powered autonomous accounting solution supports professional accountants by streamlining and automating financial processes like invoice handling and exchange of accounting data across systems, freeing up valuable time and resources for more value-creating advisory services to clients.
Easily connected with most accounting systems, Finmatics enables fast and reliable document collection, extraction and categorisation and facilitates a close collaboration between accountants and their clients, paving the way for a much smoother and efficient pre-accounting process.
“As founders of Finmatics we are very happy to become part of the Visma family, where we can continue to drive the growth of Finmatics in an entrepreneurial fashion while benefiting from the vast accounting and technology expertise of the entire Visma Group”, says Christoph Prieler, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Finmatics.
Continued growth
For Visma, Europe’s leading provider of mission-critical business software, the acquisition of Finmatics becomes its fifth in the DACH-region in the last four years, following additions like BuchhaltungsButler, H&H and Pathway Solutions in Germany and Prosaldo in Austria to the portfolio.
As a software group now consisting of close to 200 individual companies in 33 countries, Visma’s governance model is built on autonomy, trust in local knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit. Following the acquisition by Visma, Finmatics will continue to operate under the same brand and management as before.
“Our ambition is to continue growing and expanding our offering of mission-critical solutions in the DACH-countries, both organically and through acquisitions. Visma’s vision is to shape the future of society through technology, by delivering secure, efficient and easy-to-use solutions that make work more enjoyable, and societies more efficient”, says Hverven.
